Working with an incredibly motivated investment team combined with the entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm that resonates from the businesses we partner with.

What do you like about your job?

The nature and breadth of my role means I get to work with lots of people and functions including our investment team, our portfolio companies, legal, compliance, finance and tax.

What’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

My time living in Asia where I provided portfolio support to investment teams in India, China and Singapore. I had to get to grips with a large and diverse portfolio, a very different market in terms of investment opportunities and trends, and also the different languages and cultures. My language skills improved, having spent many meetings conducted in Hindi.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions or advice, especially in the workplace – a place where people can feel self-conscious about doing so. It demonstrates you are willing to learn and enhances collaboration through reciprocity.
