What motivates you?

“In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity”; It is inspiring to work with founders that dare to dream and change the world for the better.

What’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

Transitioning from consulting, where I worked on driving efficiencies and value creation for large companies to venture capital where I work with startups looking to crack new industries has so far been the steepest learning curve for me.

Which tech trend are you most excited about at the moment and why?

I am quite excited about the ‘hyper-personalization’ trend across products in India. Using IoT and predictive analytics to better understand and solve for a customer’s needs is picking up. From insurance policies to skin care products – companies are trying to make the product / service more relevant to the individual to drive better value creation. It is interesting to see how companies navigate this, especially considering the growing concerns over data privacy.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Do what you’re afraid to do. A ship is safe in a harbour, but that is not what ships are built for.
