What’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

Between 1990 to 2005 I had to learn and quickly adopt the the international regulatory principles when it came to manufacturing. The rules in the domestic market were completely different. Understanding the new concepts of cGMPs, regulatory frameworks of advanced countries, adopting them, facing international regulatory autdits and inspections, developing products etc. all had to be done in a relatively short period of time.

Which healthcare trend are you most excited about at the moment and why?

I believe India's use of innovation, especially in small molecules, biologicals and devices is particularly interesting.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Relationships matter so take the time to nurture and grow these  powerful connections irrespective of where you are.
