What motivates you?
I'm driven by the opportunity to create an impact, improve lives and build a sustainable society.
What’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?
I would have to say, learning how to be a good investor. Developing the skill sets needed to become a good investor is a long drawn process and one has to keep learning over time. Being able to identify value-driven businesses, exceptional founders, being able to resonate and empathize with them, adding value to the businesses you invest in etc. The role of an investor is multi faceted.
Which healthcare trend are you most excited about at the moment and why?
The inflection of technology into various segments of healthcare – including preventive and primary care. Data that we now have access to which has been made possible by the digitization of information, shows that this has already contributed to improved awareness, accessibility and outcomes. This is a trend which over time will create real impact to the lives of individuals and bring about positive change in the society.
If you could give a piece of advice to your 20-year-old self, what would it be?
They say you have to be in the right place at the right time - but you never know when the right time will arrive. Keep trying, keep learning, keep failing if need be, but always continue learning.
