What motivates you?

Have faith in what I do, constantly explore new things, and make an impact to the world even if it’s minor and ignorable.

What’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

The summer of my junior year in college, when I started the investment banking internship in Hong Kong. It came with not only 100 hours of heavy workload every week, but also the requirement to quickly absorb knowledge, put them into practice, and build connections with superiors and classmates at the same time. The experience was challenging but has brought me tremendous gifts, including healthy working habits and solid fundamentals.

Which tech trend are you most excited about at the moment and why?

Artificial intelligence, simply because humans are exceptionally sophisticated. It is fascinating and scary that we are trying to understand and replicate how ourselves observe, speak, behave and even think with technology.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Or If you could give a piece of advice to your 20 year old self, what would it be?

Do not confine yourself.

What is the company you wish you’d backed and why?

Alibaba.
