What is the job you do at Eight Roads?

I have responsibility for Finance, Real Estate and Technology. Having only recently taken-up this role, after spending over 10 years in senior Finance roles at FIL including Group CFO, I expect the pace, variety and challenge to continue.

Looking back, what’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

Moving from European to Group CFO at FIL, with responsibility for leading a team of c.400, being heavily involved in some major transactions and broadening my remit to include treasury, strategy and planning and procurement.

If you could give one piece of advice to your 20-year-old self what would it be?

Be brave and take that opportunity. It is only by challenging yourself you discover what you are truly made of!
