WHAT’S BEEN THE STEEPEST LEARNING CURVE ON YOUR CAREER JOURNEY SO FAR?

When I first joined the startup world at PatientPing (a portfolio company of our sister fund F-Prime Capital) from Deloitte, it was a significant change. The team is small, and we need to start from scratch on a variety of topics. As a business hire, I need to go out and “hunt & farm” to support its growth.

I learned how to thrive in a young company - you need to be open-minded, stay positive, and just keep going. Also, it is important to have a collaborative group of colleagues who are driving towards the same goal, which I was blessed to have at PatientPing. 

WHICH TECH TREND ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT AT THE MOMENT AND WHY?

I am excited about the digital therapeutics space. It represents a new treatment class that is clinically-validated, widely accessible, and nimble. The product gets better as more patients access them, creating a virtuous circle. To date, the majority of the research on this topic has been done in the west; I hope to see more China-focused studies published.

I am also interested in any technology that can make clinicians’ lives easier, so they can spend more quality time with patients and advance their research.
