Dr. Joshipura started his career with the Tata Administrative Services and then spent several years with Unilever Group of Companies, India in positions of increasing responsibilities in Sales, Marketing & Business Management. He was the President of Johnson & Johnson’s Pharmaceutical business and an Executive Director of the Company.

He had served as Senior Vice President – South Asia & Managing Director – India of Glaxo Smithkline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals Limited. He was Chairman, GSK – Bangladesh, a locally listed entity and Chairman, GSK – Sri Lanka. Also, he has been an Independent Director of L&T Technology Services Limited prior to joining L&T. He serves on the Board of Schneider Electric India Private Limited, as non-Executive Director, where he is also the Chair of their CSR & ESG committee.

Dr. Hasit Joshipura is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute (VJTI), Mumbai University and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Ahmedabad. He has completed his Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the School of Management at Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He has a degree in Law and has passed the Bar Council of India examination.
