Amy Feng
Head of Legal, China
Amy works as part of Eight Roads' in-house legal counsel team, and specialises in providing support to the portfolio on complex fundraising and restructuring issues.

Can you describe a day in your life at work?

On a typical day, I could be leading legal negotiations, reviewing transaction documents, or advising investment professionals on deal structuring and execution. Currently, I am working on restructuring one of our fund vehicles in China to expand our investment capacity and allow us to use our capital more efficiently.

Looking back, what’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

Joining Shenhua Australia as its first in-house lawyer and building the legal function from the ground up.

If you could give one piece of advice to your 20-year-old self what would it be?

In those moments of self-doubt, ask yourself what you would do if you were not afraid.

How do you work with our entrepreneurs?

I lead the legal documentation for our principal investments’ financings and provide continuous legal support to our venture portfolio companies, in their efforts to fundraise, restructure or go public.
