Redpine raises $15.2m in Series A
China’s disposable endoscope maker Redpine raised close to RMB100 million ($15.2 million) in a Series A financing round.

The round was led by Eight Roads Ventures China, existing investor SIP Oriza Seed Fund also participated. Proceeds will be used to ramp up product research and development, automatic production lines, and brand marketing.

Founded in 2015, Redpine boasts of a product portfolio covering urology, gynecology, otolaryngology, respiratory, and general surgery among others nationwide. Notably, the company has obtained CE certifications for two undisclosed products, with an overseas marketing network in the works. In addition, the company obtained market approvals for its "disposable electronic bladder endoscope" and "disposable electronic ureteral pyeloscope endoscope catheter" in July and August respectively in China.
