Eight Roads Ventures China backs DeepMirror
Spatial intelligence tech developer DeepMirror has raised a multi-million dollar financing round, co-led by Eight Roads, OPPO and GAC cap.

Established in July 2019, Deep Mirror wants to build its core technology around a spatial intelligence cloud, natural language understanding, deep learning and other technologies.

Shawn Shen, Principal at Eight Roads Ventures China said: “Spatial Intelligence Platform is an indispensable stack in AR and must-have infrastructure for AR-native experiences. The development of key hardware components (e.g. optics, micro display, sensors) and AI algorithms will gradually bring next-generation computing platforms into real life. Deep Mirror has a top-tier R&D team with strong execution capabilities and we are proud to partner with the team and support its long-term development. ”

In December 2020, the startup has teamed up with the Guangzhou Nansha government on building Pearl Bay Mirror World, a project using spatial intelligence and augmented reality.
