What motivates you?

Curiosity about human beings, business, and how they interact to make people’s lives better.

What’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

One of my projects at Monitor Deloitte. Every week, I would learn about a brand new industry on Monday and deliver a strategic recommendations deck by Friday. This lasted for almost five months. The wide exposure to new industries, including ones I had never imagined let alone encountered before, and the fast pace, pushed me beyond my limits.

Which China tech trend are you most excited about at the moment and why?

“Copy to China” is gradually shifting to “To Copy China”. This is an amazing process to be a part of but it's challenging for both founders and investors with fewer benchmarks and a need to depend on one's own capabilities and judgement.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Don't waste your time hesitating between two options. Try one, and find which works for you!

What is the company you wish you’d backed and why?

Airbnb - an originator of the sharing economy with a great sense of design.
