Curzio joined Eight Roads from Rakuten where he was responsible for developing new media-related services. He now specialises in pursuing opportunities across the technology sector.

What motivates you?

Seeing goal-driven and hard-working teams and individuals achieving the success that they deserve. Nothing beats the feeling of satisfaction you get when you know you played some role - however small - in helping good things happen to good people.

What’s been the steepest learning curve on your career journey so far?

I hope my entire career journey will remain a steep learning curve. Intellectually curiosity is what fuels me.

Which global tech trend are you most excited about at the moment and why?

Living in Japan, and experiencing first-hand the grave issue of population aging, I’m naturally drawn to any solutions that aim not only to improve overall economic efficiency but also to help improve general well-being in an age of growing uncertainty. I’m particularly drawn to innovative solutions around media/ad/entertainment that have a tangible impact on the way we behave and emote.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t be afraid of making mistakes - be afraid of not learning from them.
