WHAT’S BEEN THE STEEPEST LEARNING CURVE ON YOUR CAREER JOURNEY SO FAR?

My work at Haier, to support the company’s transition from a hardware box maker to a hardware and software and service provider. The company was upgrading business processes with new business models that required innovations at every level of strategy, organization and technology. “It is like changing the aircraft engine while flying”, as one put it. A key enabler was the platform we built to support the rapid development and iteration of connected products and solutions, with constant user feedback and market signals to guide us. It was always about delighting the end users.

WHICH CHINA OR GLOBAL TECH TREND ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT AT THE MOMENT AND WHY?

Enterprises are increasingly embracing digital transformation and relying on innovations to drive up growth. Data becomes the new fuel for the economy. The current virus pandemic has greatly accelerated the pace. AI and IoT continue to be the key enablers. We will see more innovations in platforms and solutions for collaborative and distributed work and operations, whether in business, manufacturing, commerce, or healthcare.
