Langboat, a cognitive services company that provides business insights for the digital transformation of business scenarios based on the natural language processing (NLP) technology, has completed close to RMB 100m Series Pre-A financing co-led by Eight Roads China and Lenovo Capital, with participation from existing investor Sinovation Ventures.

The funding will be used for the development of core products and services using natural language processing and forward-looking research.

Founded by world-renowned scientist in NLP technology Dr. Zhou Ming, Langboat is a leader in providing high-performance, low-cost NLP solutions to business applications such as document processing and industry vertical search, based on its proprietary model training and optimization technologies.  

The Langboat NLP platform – Mengzi – has claimed the No. 1 title on CLUE, the widely accepted global Chinese language understanding and evaluation benchmark.
