Zijun Di
Head of Legal, China
Zijun brings his extensive industry experience to support the Eight Roads team with legal matters in China.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT EIGHT ROADS?

I cover the legal matters for new investments, the portfolio, divestment, fund formation and other general corporate matters in China, with a goal of being a good gate keeper, solution provider and team player.

LOOKING BACK, WHAT’S BEEN THE STEEPEST LEARNING CURVE ON YOUR CAREER JOURNEY SO FAR?

When I was representing investment funds or start-ups for VC deals and cross-border transactions in Silicon Valley, I had to get used to shifting quickly and smoothly on the laws and market practice among the U.S., China, Cayman Island and other jurisdictions.

IF YOU COULD GIVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE TO YOUR 20-YEAR-OLD SELF WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Establish or join a start-up in China!

HOW DO YOU DIRECTLY SUPPORT OUR ENTREPRENEURS?

I take the lead on the legal side for the financing, restructuring, divestment or other matters for our principal investments in China and provide advice, support and other resources to our portfolio companies’ fundraising, development and operation.

The information on these pages is intended solely for the benefit of entrepreneurs and businesses seeking venture capital investment. Eight Roads does not offer and is not offering to provide investment advisory services nor is it offering to engage in any transactions in securities.
